Spring Data Cassandra is Underway!

NB: first SciSpike blog entry for me. Woo hoo! 🙂

I'm pleased to announce that SciSpike is now part of the effort to create, release & support Spring Data Cassandra, a new Spring Data subproject that targets Cassandra, a columnar database in the NoSQL space. It currently includes Prowave Consulting, Alex Shvid (an individual contributor), and ourselves, of course.

Our development mailing list, for now, is at http://sdc-dev.997532.n3.nabble.com. Use that page to subscribe via email, or just follow via the forum.

We're using the Spring Data Cassandra JIRA issue tracker if you'd like to follow that.

Lastly, the current truth repository is at https://github.com/shvid/spring-data-cassandra. We'll be moving to the official spring-projects GitHub organization fairly soon. (Currently, the official Spring Data Cassandra GitHub project only holds a readme that announces that the project is underway.)

Make sure to check it out!
